'Welcome Back Kotter' Star Ron Palillo Dead at 63

Ron Palillo, best known for his role as Arnold Horshack on the show “Welcome Back Kotter,” has died at the age of 63.

Palillo was found dead early Tuesday morning at his home in Palm Beach Gardens, FL from an apparent heart attack.

Joseph Gramm, Palillo’s long time partner, called an ambulance around 4:00 a.m. The actor was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Palillo moved to Florida to live near his mother. He was active in theater and taught acting at the G-Star School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.

“He just couldn’t have been more fun and intelligent or talented,” friend Stacy Sacco told The Palm Beach Post. “He was an amazing human being.”

Palillo’s co-star Robert Hegyes, who played Epstein on the 1970’s sitcom, also died from a heart attack in January. He was 60.
